Trailrunning, Kananaskis Canada

Escapando el finde went for the first trailrunning of the season in the rockies. With Josh and Garry we went to Kananaskis Country to do a wonderful trail call Turbine Canyon.

The day was excellent with clear sky and perfect temperature: The idea was to rich the bottom of the Haig Glacier so around 16 km from the parking of the upper Kananaskis Lake. We start with a nice pace and having fun until we gain 600 mt to the top of the tree line at 2200 mt, there there still lot of snow so was impossible to run and even walk in that conditions so we decided to run back.

It is a beautiful trail with amazing views and some wild life around.

Grassi Lake

Escapando el finde was last weekend climbing in Grassi Lake, near Canmore, with Carla, Emilio and Britany. Grassi , as is known, is pretty famous for climbers because is close to Calgary and because is a really nice place.

Grassi is a nice place to be introduced in the climbing world because it has lots of easy routes and is a beautiful place. Also because you get used to wear during all day the climbing helmet because some little rocks are coming down from the top usually. The approach from the parking is short so that make it super crowded during the weekend.

If you go there do not forget to wear the helmet and take with you a guide to know what route are you climbing.
