Escapando el finde en los primeros calurosos dias de Abril salio de ruta de montaña por los alrededores de Castle Mountain, en busca de unas excelentes vistas.
La escapada surgio tras esquiar un rato en la montaña y decidir que era mejor subir otras que no tenian nieve. Asi que tras cambiarme arranque en direccion norte bordeando el rio por su lado este hasta llegar a un chute sin nieve en direccion al pico. Tras cruzar un bosque toco subir un pedrero bastante inclinado y con un paso de grado 3+ al final. Luego se crestea en dirección sur hasta llegar al Picos Barney.
Las vistas desde ahi de Castle Mountain y las montañas rocosas no tienen precio.
Escapando el finde at the beginning of a warm April went for a hike closed to Castle Mountain Resort, with the idea of finding amazing views.
The trekking idea comes to me after a ski season during the morning and decided that was better to hike a peak without snow. After changing my clothes a started hiking in north direction on the east side of the river until I got to one chute without snow in the way to the peak. Then I crossed a forest and a rocky ground pretty steep with a climbing step at the top (level 3+). Finally I walked the ridge heading south to get to the Barney Peak.
The views from the peak of Castle Mountain and the Rocky Mountains are...........
