Cirque Fore Peak

Escapando el finde went for another epic backcountry day with crazy views in Banff National Park. This time to the Cirque Fore Peak or kind of because it was not that peak just one beside that unnamed.

The way to get to this peak is from the parking of the Bow Lake on the 93 road around 35km from Lake Louise to Jasper. With Brent we went up to the peak in a beautifull day with excellent temperatures and good snow.  The summit was without snow due the wind effect so we backpack the last 50 meters. There is so much terrain to ski that make this place a really good one to go often.

Vermillion Peak, backcountry

Escapando el finde went for a nice backcountry day with Josh and Brent, to the Vermillion Peak, Kootenay National Park, British Columbia.

The day was cloudy and with some light snow, but was kind of warm and with 5cm of fresh snow. Vermellion Peak is a nice peak but a better ski if you like go into the burned trees. The alpine terrain it was pretty decent and the trees super fun.

The way up is just through the trees leaving the avalanche path on your left, the way dow pretty much the same as the way up.

AVALANCHE SKILL TRAINING LEVEL 2

Escapando el finde during the last 4 day was in the AST 2 ( avalanche skill training course level 2 ) with the people from YAMNUSKA based on Canmore, Canada.

Escapando el finde went to Canmore for an avalanche course during 4 days. The guide during the course was Adam Burrell, awesome guide, with whom we learned a bunch of new things really useful when you are out there in avalanche terrain. We spent 1 day in class an other 3 in the field, Burstall Pass, Crowfoot Glacier and Commenwealth Peak.

Nice weather and much better funny group with Charles, Colin, Stephan, Pablo, Ryley, Peter and Johan.
