Cirque Fore Peak

Escapando el finde went for another epic backcountry day with crazy views in Banff National Park. This time to the Cirque Fore Peak or kind of because it was not that peak just one beside that unnamed.

The way to get to this peak is from the parking of the Bow Lake on the 93 road around 35km from Lake Louise to Jasper. With Brent we went up to the peak in a beautifull day with excellent temperatures and good snow.  The summit was without snow due the wind effect so we backpack the last 50 meters. There is so much terrain to ski that make this place a really good one to go often.

Here you can check the track CLICK

Johnston Canyon, Banff

Escapando el finde was in one of the most popular an easy hikes in Banff National Park, Johnston Canyon.

With Carla, Juli, Carlos and Rafa we went to Banff on Sunday for this nice but super crowded hike to Johnston Canyon. The hike is easy and pretty flat what with super scenaries with lots of big and small water falls, trees but not to many animals.

This trekking short and easy you can extended to the inkpots, natural water ponds with different colours  . Is nice to hike to them because not many people goes so far so is perfect for a pic nick break or even a nap.

Sentinel Pass, Lake Moraine and Lake Eiffel

Escapando el finde during a nice Sunday went for a hike to Banff National Park to make two beautiful trails,  1º Lake Moraine plus Sentinel Pass and 2º Lake Eiffel.

In this time escapando el finde was with the Matracas ( Daniel and Dorota), Carlos and Carla. We went close to Lake Louise in a classic hike , pretty crowded but with amazing panoramic views of the Rockies.

After a nice hike to Sentinel Pass during 2,5 hours and 700 meters of elevation we decided on our way back to make a loops to the Eiffel Lake in about 1,5 hours. The most excited thing during this nice hike was that we saw a grizzly bear just 3 meters above us in the trail, so we had some moments of panic but was really cool.

Escapando el finde with some other members of MEC, Colin, Simon, Lian, Tim and Kevin went to have the most 4 amazing day of mountaineering skiing with Mike Stuart ( Canadian Mountain Guide ). The 1ºst and 4ºth day we went for easy and nice mountaineering rides (4 hours) and also we learned different skills.

The 2ºnd and 3ºrd day, with the perfect weather,we went to the most insane touring climbing to two of the nicest mountains of the Banff National Park, Cirque Peak 2990m ( 9hrs) and Mount Hector 3395m (10hrs). This two peak, that are hard to climb, have incredible views and also both have glacier that we could ski with tons of snow and powder turns.

No more words just pictures and a video.
